Adaptive Program

Two people rowing a double. Woman in front and man rowing behind her. Both are smiling and holding one oar in each hand.

Rowing for people with physical disabilities.

North Star Community Rowing believes every person regardless of ability deserves the opportunity to get outside, challenge themselves, and ROW!

The NSCR adaptive team includes rowers with a wide variety of disabilities from spinal cord injury to stroke to lower extremity amputation to degenerative diseases and visual impairment. Our coaches work with each athlete to ensure they have the support needed to explore their full rowing potential.

NSCR has a variety of equipment designed for those with different needs on the water. The boats are customized for accessibility based on individual need.

NSCR is a Freedom Rows organization providing Veterans in Minnesota with indoor rowing and on-the-water programming.
